Salpura (Pty) Ltd starts operations in Brandvlei, Northern Cape. The factory at Brandvlei is opened as a refining factory to add value to salt produced by the surrounding Saltcor salt pans, to extend its customer service and product offering. The factory now produces Fine Animal Feed Salt for the Agricultural industry.
2001
Donald Brown Group acquires African Salt Works (ASW) due to the major role it plays in the export of salt products to various African countries like Angola, Cameroon, Congo, DRC, Malawi, Mauritius, Swaziland, Zimbabwe and Sub-Saharan Africa.
2004
Donald Brown Group purchases the Loch Maree and Inkbos Salt Pans to grow its share of South African Kalahari Salt.
2020
Company acquires salt pans across the West Coast of South Africa in Velddrif area to increase its local salt capacity, while diversifying its product offering.

Cape Salt Company (Pty) Ltd begins to operate in Velddrif; further expanding the Company’s West Coast Sea Salt operations.
